Nieuwsblad – Van afgeleefde woning tot gezellig nest in beton
Given the northern orientation of the garden and the existing outside corridor next to the house, a new extension across the full width was not a good option. Instead, an elongated volume was chosen that reaches deep into the garden. The new extension is bathed in light because the facade is completely transparent. The wide block windows provide the necessary feeling of privacy and security. The first floor is an inversion of the ground floor, a closed facade with square windows of different sizes. Here is a new deskspace that is connected to the ground floor with an internal void.
